Dental hygiene and health are very important, and aside from brushing, flossing, rinsing and all the normal stuff you do on a daily basis, you also need to know a few natural tips and tricks for maintaining better oral health. Are there any you can think of right now before you keep reading? I’m going to tell you a few of my favorites, and then I’m going to tell you some that I hadn’t heard about before until now.
I got some of these tips from a Manhattan dentist when I lived there and I still use some of them today seeing as I’ve discovered so many other remedies over the years.
Tooth pain isn’t any fun at all. Have you ever had a tooth that was hurting for some reason? Or perhaps it was your gums that were hurting, and the pain just didn’t go away. Well, I’ve been there too, and it’s no fun for sure. Your mouth could be hurting for a number of reasons. Determine whether it’s a problem that could be remedied by using a natural rinse.
You can always use mouthwash if it’s a problem of that type, but mouthwash doesn’t always cut it. You swish it around for a minute, and then all the sudden you realize your mouth is still hurting. That is why you need to know about two other natural rinses. First, I always like to put quite a bit of salt in some lukewarm water, stir it and then use it like a mouthwash. This is a very soothing natural remedy, and it can help to knock out the pain quickly.
Sometimes you have to rinse a couple times to take care of the problem. You can also use hydrogen peroxide, and I’ve used them both before, back to back. What do you know about green tea? Did you know this can be an effective natural tool to help fight oral cancer? Aloe Vera and Calendula are two other natural remedies for oral health, and there are many more.
